Petrified wood is fossilised wood, formed under the earth and protected from decaying by oxygen and organisms. Over time the water and other liquids in the earth flows through the wood, replacing the plant material with minerals such as calcite, quartz and opal. Petrified Wood carries a very gentle grounding energy. A lovely crystal to carry around with you or keep on your work desk to help ground and support you through out your day.
