Traditionally used by Native Americans as a sacred tool to clear old, heavy or unwanted energy. In the Spring of 2016 I took a pilgrimage through Peru travelling with Andean elders. There was also a  Native American elder with us too. She showed me how we should use sage to cleanse the whole being and highlighted the importance of saging our hair, as the hair stores a lot of old energy.

Sage gives a deep energetic clean. Not only is it wonderful and cleaning our own personal energy but also great to use it throughout your home, office, on your crystals and sacred space. Sage gives a deeper, more intensive cleanse compared to that of Palo Santo wood.

To use: Light your sage. Allow it to burn for a few seconds and then blow out so it creates smoke. Move about your workspace or home to deeply clear away old or heavy energy. It can be used to clean the energy of your crystal and other healing tools. It gives off a strong and rich smell that can create a lot of smoke. When finished, place the sage in a fire proof bowl. Always use caution and respect when working with fire.
